What I Ate for the Last Week

My weight loss coaching clients sometimes ask me, usually while I’m looking at their food journal, “Well, what do you eat every day.” I’m going to provide that below. It’s very simple – I’m not including supplements of any kind, that would just make it harder to read. It’s not perfect, and I would never pretend it to be. Some meals were eaten at restaurants and I’m not going to pretend to know what the ingredients are. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.

Here it is:


12:00 p.m.

6 eggs

.5 tbls butter

5:00 p.m.

protein powder

8:00 p.m.

16 oz chicken

1 medium avocado


pico de gallo

.5 tbls butter

1 piece of pizza


10:00 a.m.

5 oz. mixed nuts

8:30 p.m.

16 oz ground beef

1 cup pasta

pasta sauce


11:00 a.m.

8 oz chicken


3:00 p.m.

2.5 oz mixed nuts

8:30 p.m.

24 oz steak


8:00 a.m.

2 eggs

2 sausage links

1 cup cottage cheese

2:30 p.m.

cobb salad w/ blue cheese dressing

8:00 p.m.

8 oz chicken



2:00 p.m.

3 oz mixed nuts

1 can chopped clams

8:00 p.m.

buffalo chicken salad


11:00 a.m.

6 eggs

2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

trail mix – I was playing in a dodgeball tournament and was grazing all day

8:00 p.m.

taco salad w/ beef


11:00 a.m.

mixed nuts

4:00 p.m.

pizza – a lot of it

8:00 p.m.

ice cream
